Glanford Music

The Glanford Strings rehearse twice weekly in three ensembles.  Students have the opportunity to learn the violin, viola, cello or string bass utilizing a variety of repertoire in a positive learning environment.

Beginner Strings (no previous experience required):

Mondays 7:30am

Thursdays 8:50-9:47am

Performing Arts Studio

Intermediate Strings (students with one or more years of experience):

Mondays 8:50-9:47am

Thursdays 7:30-8:27 am

Performing Arts Studio

These are the materials that need to be brought to every class. If you have forgotten your instrument at home, it’s still important that you come to rehearsal and participate as best you can.

Please bring to every class:

* Your instrument and bow

* Rosin

* Endpin rest (cellos only – strap-style preferred)

* Shoulder rest (violas/violins)

* Your music book (see below)

* Folder with sheet music that was handed out in class

* A pencil

If you were in Strings before or have had private lessons, please come to our first class with your method book from last year and your folder, if you still have them. Depending on the skill level, we will then determine, whether we can continue with the same method book or sign a new one out from the library.

All students will be provided a folder to collect their sheet music.
